Everyone made fun Aleksey Vayner's in 2006 when he showcased his video resume. While I do agree that his credentials are a little farfetched - his idea was ingenious. I believe that in due time, this could be the only way an HR person will see your resume among a high stack of applications.

For those looking to make a more professional video resume for free, they can go to www.interactiveapplicant.com and create an applicant account. On the left hand side there is a link call "My Profile" which will allow job seekers the ability to upload their resume and answer 3 career related question on video webcam. Once done, they can make the link created Public and put the link into any resume, cover letter, FaceBook or LinkedIn account. All for no charge and much more professional.
